Is this normal?

1. I have no programs open besides activity monitor and finder and I'm using 2.4 gb of ram?

2. Fans spin and MBA gets hotter while downloading stuff?

Also, where are the fans? Does it blow out right by the hinge?

If the machine has been up for a while, it's perfectly normal. Also, remember that free RAM is wasted RAM, and inactive RAM is a cache of your hard drive.

Sorry,but I'm not 100% sure what you mean by all of that about the ram

Then you shouldn't be worrying about it.

And yes, your computer is going to get hot.

well idk what was going on earlier, bc now its sitting in the 1.__ range. it was just up there in the 2's and 3's when barrely doing anything when i first brought it home and was using it.
