Is it possible for someone to find out your address through your email address? I don't care how it's done, I just want to know if someone could do it?

Depends what mails you've been sending and what information you've given to Hotmail/Gmail. :)

A normal gmail address. But I didn't even give them my zip code. What about by name, since my name is the only bit of personal info on my gmail.

Well, anyone who knows your name could most probably find out your address and since Gmail sends a mailer ID (your name instead of whatever@gmail.com) then yes, someone could find out your address.

However, just to ensue a bit of paranoia, anyone can find anyone's address if they have a name.

Is this related to or different from your other predicament, Mr. Hall?

This is correct, especially is someone is willing to pay for access to a database.

If your real name is going out in the email and the person knows what town you live in, it wouldn't take a whole lot to find where you live.

If you feel you're being threatened the best thing to do is to contact the police.

I don't feel that way at all. I just had a creepy incident that fortunatly turned out fine. But I'd rather know all this now to prevent anything bad from happening.
