I have a 500gb lacie drive and was wondering if I could plug it into my airport express to have a network drive. I know you can make it use time capsule but I need it as an external drive. Is possible? If so how do you do it?

    Thank you

Unfortunately, Airport Express does not support hard drives.

So I would have to get an airport to make this work?

The only Apple Airport base stations that support wireless access to hard drives are the Extreme and the Time Capsule. The Express USB port can ONLY be used for a printer.

Airport Extreme Base Station or Time Capsule.

You can, however, get a non-Apple wireless router that will support what you're looking for.
