Definitely not normal. Did you unbox it like that or hit it against something?

Hard to tell from the pic. What material Watch is that? I know the crown uses the same finish as the casing but not sure about the actual material of the crown. I didn’t even know it can peel like that. That’s cringe worthy.

Can you take a pic from the other side too?

It’s graphite ss. Never hit it against anything. Unboxed it 2 weeks ago.

I’d take that to Apple and see what they say about it. I don’t believe a slight hit, something you wouldn’t notice even, could cause such damage. It would have to be something you definitely felt so if your saying you didn’t hit it, I’d go with a manufacturing defect. Also, that’s definitely something you would notice while unboxing. Just using the crown would seem like that would be something noticeable.

Definitely should be replaced/repaired by Apple. Or simply return it and purchase a new one if they won’t replace it on the spot.
Yeah I’ll do it next time i’m close to an Apple store. Didn’t expect this kind of flaw on a 800 € product…
