Good day everyone!

I am in a bit of a conundrum.

On one hand, I heard following site is good to download necessary software:

gimp-print.sourceforge.net/p_Download.php

On other hand, I also heard sourceforge site is bundled with malicious software.

Their download links are also in sourceforge.net.

So, is that Gutenprint download safe? Is said software safe to use? Is linked site safe to use?

I would appreciate any advice.

Looks like you can also download it from macupdate.com, but I'd have no reason to believe that it's any safer.

The sourceforge.com site appears to be the project home site. It ought to be safe enough. if you really want to be sure, download the source instead (see "All Other Users" on the download page) and build it yourself. I've not done this, nor looked at the source, so I have no idea what would be required to do a build. (i.e. will it build with Xcode's llvm or will you need gcc, etc.)

I'll take the chance downloading it from home site then. Zero understanding about building. :D
