Hey... My church wants to get a mac. We will be switching from EasyWorship to ProPresenter. EasyWorship is currently windows only. We will be doing a lot of testing and getting used to ProPresenter before making the official switch.

My question is this, Can I install Windows on an external HDD connected via FireWire 800 and boot from it from bootcamp? If I have to partition the HD on the MBP, I will, but I would prefer not to. And If I was able to boot from the External drive, would FW800 be fast enough that I would see no lag? This would all be done on a brand new 2011 15.4" MBP.. maxed out.

Once we do make the official switch to ProPresenter, Windows will be done for us. That's why I don't want to put it on the HD if I don't have to.

Thanks guys! Hopefully I was clear in what I'm asking.
