In two minds wether pre order on the web page or online. Think this is what i will use. How about you?

I have found in recent years the app is quicker but guess it’s impossible to say.

App is usually quicker. My 7+ was ordered with the app and I got it on launch day. But your mileage may vary. I usually have both open and refreshing to see which one will come up first.

Ordering on the app is easier because you can just select your credit card at checkout and pay using Touch ID.

Web page is “online” as well. You mean the app or the web site.

I have found using your carrier's app to be the best way to preorder. The Apple app has to connect to Verizon for example to pull your account info, this is usually where the delays start as everyone is trying to access Verizon info remotely from the Apple app or website. Through the carrier app, there is usually no delay and connects right away. If you want an X early, I would use your carrier app if possible. Apple app is definitely second best though.

Call your network provider and get an upgrade loool I found that was the easiest way to get my iPhone 7 and i got it delivered on launch day.

But OT: If you're not into contracted phones then yeah i'd go with the app.

Good idea, although my concern is that the carrier will have less stock than Apple and delivery will be much more delayed.

It's possible, but I have always found that as long as you submit your order within the first 5 minutes, you'll get it on launch day. The Verizon app hasn't failed me in the last 3 launches, although this is clearly a bit different.

Is there a way to refresh the App or have i to restart it?
I am curious about this too. Does it live refresh or need to be force closed? I was burned by AT&T website last year so I am looking to use the app this go round.

At least both is the way to go. I would say go for 4 routes: Apple website, carrier website, Apple app, carrier app. Even better if you have another device like an iPad to do the apps on just in case as well. The more places you are refreshing the more chances you have at getting the updated data for ordering

I'll add to this, have one device/laptop on wifi/wired connection and another device using your cellular data. Diversify your networks.

No No No guys... the best way to do it is... you wait 5 minutes till 12:06 or so then you get on the apple website and place your order... Spread the word to all of your friends and family and post it on every message board... wait 5 minutes then place (by then my order should be in) :D:D:p:p

The app is the way to go. I already have mine all set up

What are the chances of securing one on the app for release day since supposedly quantities are small

How Can I get 2 phones, one for my wife? If I have to order one then go back in I’d think it would be weeks delay for the 2nd phone.
