Hey OP: We are just having some fun. This is a tough crowd and we are getting impatient for the Ip6. Having to wait until September is a pain. I hope the Ip6 doesn't come up short. If they bail out on better resolution and battery life because of Sir Thin, I might bail also. ( incredible, incredible, bail, bail!! LOL)
I am betting it is a good chance the 6 will be just like this.

Yes, maybe that will stop the phone from being so tall, and potentially so wide if they trim the side bezels as well.
I'm not the one to whine about the bezels, but a 4.7" screen with the current bezels will make the form factor a lot wider/taller than it needs to be.
If Apple shaves off a part of the bezels, it will make the phone just a bit bigger than the 5 line and a bit wider.
They're probably going to keep the same bezels anyway so we'll have to wait and see.

a larger WHITE iPhone maintaining the same bezels will look very chunky.

True but I would bet that the real thing will look close to if not exactly like the dummys. I actually like that design. It's an upgrade without being drastically different from the current model. I like the rounded sides, should be a more comfortable grip.

At the end of the day, you are still going to have a chunky phone. The white will obviously show it, the black will hide it, but it's always there. You will be able to notice in either color
At least with the HTC M8 you're getting something for the enlarged top and bottom bezels, a pair of wicked speakers. On the iPhone 6 you'll just be getting Touch ID at the bottom, and then the top will be extended by a similar amount to make it visually matching. It looks too narrow and tall, and this is not something we expect from Apple, ie bad design and a product larger than the competition. How thin the phone is becomes meaningless when the footprint is so large.
So the rumors are true, Apple is going big. These are happy times.
The leaks are ALL unimpressive.
