Holy sheet, how do you find anything on that screen?? That's worse than Windows.

There is no way I am holding that thing up to my ear to make a phone call. Can you imagine the reaction that would get!!

Must be true....here is an early prototype ;)

It's perfect! Just what I need for college! When does it come out???

Is that copy and paste right there!? How did she get that phone number from her contacts into her SMS?

(Surely Apple isn't advertising a feature that requires you to either memorise a 9-digit number or get an old fashioned pen and paper and write it down....)

EDIT: just realised it might be the other person who copypasted the number on their JB or non-iPhone... Isn't that rather ... rubbing it in our faces ... ?

No its not C&P. It's the callback feature for cell numbers that are reflected in SMS's.

If its C&P you will see a small box allowing a Select All function before indicating a Copy or Cut function as highlighted in the Keynote.

OK, I was kidding before, but let's go to serious mode for a minute:

No, I don't mean the call-back feature, I mean how did the person who typed that SMS enter the number into the SMS in the first place?

The previous SMS was a request for a certain number. So she went to her contacts list (as Apple would like us to believe) , and somehow transferred that number to a new SMS.

In reality, we know she would have to either memorise the number or write it down. But Apple here are suggesting it's easy to send a contact number to someone ...

(and this advert is obviously nothing to do with the 3.0 software)

Or the person just knew the number in their head. Geeze. Talk about looking too deeply into things. Relax.

Nothing is ever simple or straightforwards in adverts, especially ones from Apple. They're clearly suggesting it's simple to forward a contact, when we know it's not.

And yes I'm annoyed as 3 different people have asked me to send them a contact today. (and I'm on my iPhone, which I otherwise like very much)

So wait another month or so for 3.0 to come out. Hah.
