Is this typical for AppleCare service?

I am on my third i7 iMac which was DOA w/ a defective video card. I called AppleCare within the first week of getting the computer. That was now two weeks ago. Tried trouble shooting with me... then told me to take it to local Apple store for a genius to look at. Fine. Went there and the genius could not find anything through his testing but said I should just get it replaced since it was so new. He wrote that into the case notes. Called the representative with AppleCare I was working the next day. Now it has been 10 days since I left the representative the original voicemail after visiting the genius. Still no word. Since then I have left 2 additional messages and still no return of my messages. Now I am getting frustrated as it really shouldn't take this long.

What should I do? I sent Steve Jobs an email, but still have not heard back. Any other options?

Any time you have to ask the question... no.

    Try:
    800-767-2775

I'm not sure if that is still the number, but that's Customer Relations.

Visit the Genius Bar again and they'll probably give you a new one right away.

By the way, do people really think that Steve is writing those replies?

Can't go back to Genius Bar as this is an i7 w/ 2TB drive. Only carry an i5 in the stores. They offered to swap my i7 for an i5, I kinda laughed inside. :)

No I don't think Steve writes back, but I do think it goes fairly high up in the food chain; problem some customer relations exec. Better than dealing with a low level AppleCare phone support person.

Thank you. I will give that a try when I get home this evening. Hopefully that will work and get someone that can help me. This is starting to get crazy when you still haven't had multiple phone calls returned in +10 days. :(

^ haha stop :D. Google does support it's CR, but there seems to be enough evidence to support that it's also allocated to Disability issues. Whatever the number it should be worked out.
