Hello,
I've been scammed buying used iPhone 8 (64 gb) when it worked for few hours after I bought it and then it started to restart itself, freeze etc. The battery condition indicator (in settings) didn't show the percentage of battery condition (it only showed loading circle, even after several minutes. Now it won't even turn on, not even with iTunes.
I took it to official iStyle store in CZE to diagnose the problem. They said there was an unauthorized manipulation with the battery (which explains never ending battery condition loading in Settings) and they also wrote "defective device unit".
I don't know what is this "device unit", but it is obvious that at least the battery is faulty (non original? idk).
Before selling the phone for spare parts, would you spend those $ 65 for a new original battery? Or is it too risky to (maybe) throw the money out of the window and hope it would solve the problem?
THANKS a million!
Martin
