I have a brand new Macbook Pro and an old Series 0 Apple Watch. I've set it up to unlock my Mac but find it to be a bit slow compared to Touch ID. About 3 seconds. I would like to know if the process is any faster with a new Series 3? Thanks!

i've got a mid '13 air, just upgraded from a s0 to a s3 (no-LTE)

not sure i've noticed much of a difference in unlocking speed, and i still get the occasional "miss" where it doesn't unlock at all (about 1 out of 20 times)

i do feel like apple pay is faster
along with everything else... siri, app loading

and the battery life is crazy.
My battery is higher at the end of day 2 with the s3 than the end of day 1 with the s0

I upgraded my early 2015 rMBP to HS solely to allow unlocking with the Watch. HS seems to unlock a lot faster with the Watch than without - I'd even say regular wake/unlock on HS without the watch can be balky. I've never had any balkiness with AW unlocking, which is great.
