Is upgrading from a 3rd/4th gen ipad to a Mini 4 a no-brainer?

I looked at the specs and the iPad Mini 4 seems to be better in most areas, with the exception of battery power which seems to be significantly less in the Mini 4.

How much worse is the battery in terms of how long it will last per charge?

I’m not sure battery life is worse - the battery is smaller but so is the screen.

Apple lists both the current mini 4 and full size iPad (2017) as offering 10 hours battery life.

This is without considering any degradation of your current iPad.
