or, more specifically:

A relative of mine has a iMac with OS Leopard or 10.5.8. He does not, however, have internet access. So, for x-mas, I was thinking of downloading (purchasing) some software for him, and ship it on a cd-rom or dvd-rom. As I use a PC (Dell laptop with Blue-Ray dvd burner), I have done some searches on this and they all seem to revolve around bootable discs, disc images and/or are 4+ years old.

As I'd like this to run without to much issues, and I can't test it beforehand, what should I be keeping in mind for this process?

Or is it so simple as just burning the .dmg file and shipping it off?

thanks!

You just burn the .dmg files to the disc like any other file - it will work.
