I had to jailbreak mine even using AT&T. Nothing compares to running real apps on the iPhone, not even the web apps.

mine is unlocked on Vodacom South Africa and T-Mobile Germany (I'm at different places all the time). it came from the US, from apple's HQ in Cupertino.

But I dunno why the African division for Vodafone is called Vodacom, so I just use MIM and made it Vodafone. Then it bloody scrolls so I had to go into springboard registry and tweak the hex (font size for loopOperatorToBeginning is 13).

and of course, an unlocked iphone is jailbroken. currently on 1.1.3 (4.6BL).

Well I bought my iPhone on the launch date and actually switched to AT&T from verizon just for the iPhone. Haven't hacked or jailbroke and am actually much happier witch AT&T.

LOL my son cracked the screen of his iphone yesterday, so bought him the new 16G and took his cracked on a member sent me the unlock app...and unlocked it....now doing another...IF ATT was no so crappy where i live, i would be good but now loving t mobile......

Now thats a sure way to F your kid up. O son you crashed your 328? I'll go buy you a new 335 so you can do it again!!!

oh, i suggest that if you have an official iphone carrier, just leave it as is. it doesn't matter whether they suck or not, but you REALLY experience the pain of unlocking, jailbreaking, can't update, and all those downgrades/restores...
