jailbroke ios5 and have never looked back, after immersing myself in cydia apps/tweaks, going back to stock OS is like being forced to only drink diet beverages.

Diet beverages have no taste and customization through cydia keeps me in jailbroken state

I don't understand why people think jailbreaking is not safe. In some cases, its even safer to jailbreak. Even though I only apply simple tweaks (battery percentage, green slide to unlock), I still can't live with a jailbreak.

iOS 5.0.1 UNTETHERED JB is out, everyone who planned to jailbreak, this is it.

Untether jailbreak right now before Apple closes the 5.0.1 signing period and based on this jailbreak it could be months and there is no guarantee for a 5.0.2 or 5.1 untethered jailbreak.

I would rephrase that:

I you restore before you bring it in, Apple probably won't be able to tell that it was jailbroken, and therefore they won't know that the warranty ought to be void.

No, that's widely believed BS. Magnuson-Moss, etc apply... jailbreaking doesn't and shouldn't void the warranty.

Kept it jailbroken on 4.1 for a year..

Just upgraded and jailbroke (untethered) for 5.0.1 :D

Sweet.

I used to but it seemed to slow down my iPod Touch, so when I got a new one I decided not to jailbreak it.

It does slow it down considerably. And you think Cydia apps don't leave trash in your iPod once you've uninstalled them?

They do. Jailbreaking isn't what it used to be.

jailbroke my new ipod 32g. which replaced 8g.(needed more space) less than 2 hours after i got it

8GB is very tight, I had it but 100$ increase to 32GB wasn't worth it. I just went the path of having to conserve space and delete apps to download other apps. A bit unconventional but my music library isn't to large so it works out in the end.

jailbreak

yes my ipod touch 2g is jailbroken but my cydia is not opening after redsnow jailbreak and my screen is blingking right now. can you please help me.
