is your Music app messed up in IOS 8 or IOS 8.0.2

mine is. if i click on an artist, it will show me their music and let me play their music but when i pick another artist, it shows me the previous artist stuff. this happens on IOS 8 and IOS 8.0.2

if i close the app or turn my iPod all the way off, its still messed up

my iPod Touch is the 5th gen

in IOS 7, it worked perfect

Nope... I'd suggest a reboot or restore.

i reformatted/reset it. it seems to be working correctly now
