I noticed two of the four sides are flush with the stainless steel watch case and the other are a bit raised. I can see the difference with my naked eye and also feel the raised sides when I slide my finger across the case and onto the screen.

Everything else is working perfectly so I'm not too worried but it's a bit irritating.

In case it matters: 38mm stainless steel with leather classic buckle.

Edit:
Colour: Stainless Steel
Production year: 2015
Production week: 16 (April)
Model introduced: 2015
Memory - flavour: xx
Factory: FH (Where Apple watch is made. (Where is this?))

Is your screen flush with the watch case?

I have this issue also. Getting a replacement sorted with Apple. Not acceptable for a £599 purchase.

My original watch had a gap. (Week 16)

The replacement has the glass raised on the top. (Week 14)

Mine is slightly raised In one corner.

I think it's the first time Ive ever bought an apple product that wasn't kinda flawless.

42mm gray sport.

sent one in for replacement because of it, and the new one has it too... really disheartening.

How can I check when my watch was manufactured?

would be interesting to see some close up pictures!

I tried to take a picture earlier with my 5S but you couldn't really tell. Even though it's quite apparent to the naked eye... I'll try again later

Any images? SO the crystal is not embedded in the case the same on all 4 sides?

That's correct. Although it's impossible for me to detect any functional defect. The viewing angles are excellent and the text is crisp on all four sides. It's just irritating to run your hands over the case and feel a bump on the upper right hand corner

Any updates on this for those who received replacements or newly received watches? My watch (42mm SS ML) has the edges raised on both the bottom and left sides and the top and left edge (near the buttons) are smooth and flush with the case.

I just received my watch yesterday and it is a Week 17.
