Does anyone know if there is any way to see exactly how much space is being used up on the iPad by Zinio and it's magazines?
I cannot find a setting anywhere.

Also, is it about 30mb or is it 300mb per issue?

Thanks!

I have the Zinio app and like it. The magazines look great on a retina screen, and the pages load quickly. I've gone "paperless" with my magazine subscriptions and love it.

Should be able to go to Settings --> Usage to get a total of all space the Zinio is taking up. Size wise is going to depend on the pub and how they're set up. I've got 2 issues of iPhone Life maxing at 32mb. Then I've got a PC Mag @ 110mb. Granted PC Mag has a lot of interactive features. I work for a fulfillment company, so of the Digital pubs that I get, most go to Zinio.

Zinio is nice if you want a single place to go for all of your subscriptions. However, as magazines get their own apps in Newsstand, I will be migrating over to their individual apps. They sometimes offer more interaction than the basic PDF like Zinio version. Sound + Vision and national Geographic are two examples of this if I remember correctly.

Not all the Zinio magazines are "basic PDF" versions. A lot of them have interactive elements - PC Magazine and also National Geographic both do this on the Zinio app for iPad.

After much internal conflict I've decided to go paperless with my magazine subscriptions.

Zinio seems to be working very well.

Note: going through "internal conflict" over something as completely trivial as magazines is a VERY bad sign. Must start my meds again!:p

I've had Zinio for a couple years for my subscriptions. I really like it. It's even better since I changed from my iPad 2 to the Air. The Retina is great with the magazines.

Back in march 2012 when I posted my response, few magazines (that I subscribed to) found in Zinio had migrated to the interactive versions. I cannot comment on the current formats found in Zinio. If they have migrated to the interactive versions, that is great to hear.

Biggest issue is that you need to go one way or the other. Magazines subscribed via their own app cannot be imported into Zinio, nor can the Zinio subscriptions be migrated to the specific magazine apps.
