Hi everybody,
I am looking for advice concerning the replacement of the isight camera cable on a macbook pro retina A1425 late 2012.
I've heard that the screen assembly can not be open on that model. Should I change the entire screen assembly just because the tiny plug of the isight camera cable on the logicboard is broken?
Any help?
Thank you
Best regards
C.B

You might want to take it to an Apple Store or authorized repair facility, rather than trying to do it yourself, and save yourself some grief.

not worth replacing a $700+ screen to fix a 1-2 Megapixel camera lol..use something else for Skype imo. ...or am i missing something?..unless its an easy fix, a logic board replacement will run you something similar

Hi blooperz
I did not see your answer before. I still have the same problem. Of course if it was to keep the mac and use it myself I would use an extra webcam. But I would like to sell the mac and am afraid that no isight camera make it difficult to sell.
