iSight not functioning properly

Ok so this has happen for months now
Whenever my MBP is turned on for a couple of hourse with MSN, AIM and Firfox opened, my iSight doesn't seem to work whenever I use Skype or Photo Booth. I've tried closing all apps, same problem.
I have to restart my computer to fix this, what's the problem?
