I opened up Photo Booth today, only to be greeted by a black screen. I opened iMovie, and saw the same thing. I then rebooted, and still had the same issue. This has only started happening today. Could it possibly be 10.5.3? It seems like a software issue. Any ideas?

the same thing happened to me after i did the firmware update a couple of weeks ago to my mb. i had audio but no video. i did either an SMC or PRAM reset and it worked. I just don't remember which one i did.

I had a similar thing happen to me not long ago, except my bluetooth went MIA too. Shutting down and starting from a cold boot corrected the issue.

PRAM = "Parameter RAM." Basically, it's where your computer stores various settings. Here's how to reset it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
SMC = System Management Controller. This pages describes what it does and how to reset it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411

Since you said your camera is working in iChat, resetting the PRAM or SMC probably wouldn't help. Instead, you can try deleting the Photo Booth preferences file (a file on your computer that stores certain settings for Photo Booth). To find this file, select "Go to folder..." from the Go menu in the Finder. Enter "~/Library/Preferences/" (minus quotes) and press return. Find this file, drag it to the trash, then empty the trash (click the trash icon in the Dock, then click the "Empty" button in the trash window).

Hope this helps. Post in this thread again if it works/doesn't work.
