I got my first Mac a few days ago and recorded a video with the iSight for Youtube. When I load it into iMovie the Event looks good, but when it goes to project it gets cropped and quality becomes severely degraded. I'm trying everything to get the video to look the same as it does in event but nothing seems to work.

Also, in Project why does the video get the black border around it? I just want the same exact video from event to project, no cropping or border around it.

What's the best way to record a high quality video in iSight and not lose quality while editing? I saved it as a quicktime format but there is still the ugly black border. I changed the resolution but the video still looks fuzzy because it was cropped at the beginning in project. The iSight is already a subpar camera so any cropping makes the picture look terrible.
