iSight webcam

Greetings,
I am using the iSight webcam since like forever...
The camera is still working ok with face time and other applications and it has a great mic quality.
The last day I tried to use Skype after years but the cam is not recognized.
Does anyone has a solution to this?
MacPro 4.1 OSX10.11

At least in the preferences I still get the preview feed from the iSight. However the camera selector show only "no camera". Strange.

i have an iSight too, and all is working here.

System 10.11.5

iSight
Modell: 0x8
Softwareversion is: 0x102

Test this:
disconnect the cable on the iSight side, wait 3 seconds and connect it again.

or

close the aperture and open it again with a soft but rapid rotation.
