I don't own any blank DVD disks but have several external hard drives. How do I do I extract a .iso file to a hard drive and then how do I get bootcamp to recognize it so I can go through with the installation on Bootcamp?

Read this thread: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=601414 . It covers two methods that have worked for others. The first is to use your ISO with a VM solution like VMWare or Parallels to get the files from the ISO to the Boot Camp Partition. The second is to create an internal partition for the contents of the ISO. You will boot from that to install to the Boot Camp partition.
