Issue connecting to a Lion computer from a Snow Leopard one

Hi there, two computers on a local network, one got upgraded to Lion, the other still has SL. When i try to connect to the Lion mac from the SL one, i get a popup asking for a Kerberos login, to which i click cancel and it then connects just fine.
Anyone know what gives?
Can i at least somehow disable the popup?
There is no firewall running on the Lion mac btw, dunno if that helps...

just an office with two macs, one SL and one Lion

On one of the machines at some point.....Otherwise you wouldn't be getting the pop-up.....Could an employee or IT person have done it?
