Issue connecting two External Monitors to new Imac

Hey all so I had 2 monitors connected to my old Imac via mini display port now this new imac Uses USB C for video output. I bought 2 cables one HDMI to USB C and another Display port to USB C. The IMAC doesn't recognize either monitor any idea what im doing wrong?

Based on previous threads with the same title, I'm going to say push the cables in extra hard to make sure they're fully seated. Many have not pushed the USB C connection in far enough and had bad/no connection to their monitors. As soon as they went back and gave it another push, it was fine.

Thanks One works the other does not maybe an its issue with the cable.

Very possible. Try the one that works in both USB-C slots. If it works in both, a bad cable would be my next guess.

Yep worked fine going to return the other cable order another one and see thanks.
