Hi all,

I have just bought my first Mac and I'm loving it but I have to install Win 7 on it unfortunately.

I have been following the instructions but when I try to install I get the error saying "A required CD/DVD device driver is missing. I f you have a driver floppy disk, CD/DVD or USN Drive, please insert it now.

I assume it eans it does not have a device driver for the CD/DVD which contains the installation disk. What drive would i need and why isn't it standard on the Windows 7 installation cd?"

I cant seem to locate the drivers needed for this.

Can you help please?

Thanks

Les

I'm assuming this is bootcamp? not VMWare/parallels

I had this once and corrected it by changing the region settings at the 1st screen! This a generic error and can mean lots of things. Would using a usb to install be an option?

Hi
Yeah this is using bootcamp.

I have it on DVD I burnt myself, what would be different if I used USB?

Thanks

Les
