I'm on 10.9.5 and just pulled the trigger on upgrading to 10.13. I went to the App Store on my computer, went to "Updates" and had nothing offered there. I went to "Featured" and clicked the tile for High Sierra, then "Get". I got a message telling me to click "Purchased" and download the Mavericks update. I clicked "Purchased" and clicked "Download" on "OS X Mavericks". It downloaded and started up the OS X Mavericks installer and got to the point where it was asking me to accept the terms of the software license.
At this point, I got the feeling that I was not on the right track and the installer was getting ready to install/overwrite a fresh copy of OS X Mavericks on top of my current installation. So instead of going forward, I figured it would be wise to post here and see what folks think. Am I going down the wrong path? I figured I would be able to just install High Sierra directly, but maybe I need a newer version of Mavericks installed to be able to update to High Sierra.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!
