Recently my iPhone 6S Plus has been making buzzing noises when the phone vibrates. The noise is not the same as the usual sound. It sounds like the motor is loose inside the phone and buzzes around the motors' surroundings. The noise of the vibration changes depending on my phone's physical orientation as well. When the phone is laying screen up, the vibration is very noisy but when screen is facing down then the vibration is very quiet.

Have any of you seen this before? Was your phone replaced or fixed? I have an appointment at the Genius bar early in the morning so I can make sure that the Genius will hear the sound but I also want to get your opinions and experiences. Thanks

Same thing happened to mine few weeks ago. Made an appt and they changed it no problems, they even discounted putting a new screen protector on it.

Mine has been doing the same thing. Took it to the Apple Store and they said it was within acceptable noise tolerances. I was very disappointed they wouldn't replace it. Every time the phone vibrates, sounds like a 10 year old crap flip phone about to shake itself apart.

I had this exact same problem. It was quite if I held the phone some ways, and really loud other ways. It randomly started happening one day. I took my phone to the Apple Store, and they replaced the phone because there is no way for them to just replace the vibration motor.

I have the issue too but trying to live with it. Have a perfect display and it doesn't halo with screen protectors.

I would not accept that outcome. How long since you bought the phone? You need to be very firm sometimes to be taken seriously

The exact thing happened with mine, it's the Taptic Motor. Most likely a loose screw or something. Tell them it's the Taptic and they'll replace it on the spot. I had my 6s Plus for a month before it started making the loud buzz noise
