My wife and I each have our own Apple iPhone and a wallet that includes an Apple Cash Card. Twice in the past few weeks, both cards were "Restricted" by Green Dot Bank. The only change in our use of the Cash Card (which my wife uses at Wegmans and TraderJoes for shopping and I only use my Cash Card to transfer money to her's) is that both times I used Apple Touch to Pay (where you hold the two iPhones near each other to do the transfer instead of using a Text message) and both times Green Dot Bank has restricted the accounts. The first time I called and within 48 hours they were restored. Now - because it is the second time - the support people cannot request a restore and I have to wait 90 days for their system to "review" the restrictions.
And all three people I spoke to at Green Dot cannot tell me what caused the "issue", citing confidentiality issues.
Anyone else had a similar issue with Green Dot Bank (and I thought Goldman Sachs was bad when they started with the Apple Card) and if so how did you resolve it? Because now my Apple Daily Cash is being held by Goldman Sachs with no "approved" way to send it as our Apple Cash accounts are restricted and I don't have an Apple Savings Account.
Thanks.
