Hi all.
Heres the scenario; I am using a rMBP connected to my TV via HDMI. On my laptop screen I have Illustrator CS6 open, with a file open inside it. On the TV I have google chrome. Now, When Im working on illustrator everythings fine. when I click on to the google chrome window on the other monitor, All of the illustrator tool bars dissapear, however the piece of work I have open does not. Ive also noticed that when i open illustrator, I dont have the usual grey background like i do on a windows pc, However i am presented with all the default Illustrator tool bars, but where the grey screen would be it is just my desktop background.

The reason your toolbars disappear is because you 'activate' chrome and 'deactivate' illustrator. Just like if you are in word and then click on the desktop, your word pallets disappear, but your document is still showing.
