issue with itunes

    hello

    I have issues with itunes on macbook. Its updated to the latest.
    I want to update my phone through itunes and sync with macbook. Now when i plug in the phone and open itunes i only got 2 options..to set up my phone as new or set up with backup..and nothing else..?

    What im i doing wrong?

    So what do you mean by "update my phone"? Update the IOS version or update things from iTunes?

    I have had problems in the past where Mac iTunes/iDevice updates did not work. The issue was that they were on different revisions of their respective operating systems. Are both your phone and MacBook running the latest OS versions? Probably would be helpful to know which phone and MacBook you have.
