Hi!

I use six spaces on my MBP and I use control+1, control+2, ..., control+6 as keyboard shortcuts to navigate through the spaces. This works fine for spaces 1 to 4, but I can't access spaces 5 and 6 with these shortcuts. I can only access them through the drop-down Spaces menu in the menu bar or by dragging windows to the edge of the screen in order to get to the next space.

To try to overcome this I went to the Spaces preferences and subtracted and added a row of spaces. After doing that, it works fine. Until I restart or shutdown and boot my computer, at which point I have the problem again.

Does anybody else have this issue? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I tried it on my MacBook with 8 spaces and 5 - 8 work fine. Maybe you just need to reselect the modifier key in spaces preferences.

you can also use control (or whatever function key you have assigns) and the arrows...i find that easier than pressing the spaces number
