Issue with right shift key and "1 q a z"

I have an issue on my Mac Mini as follows:

I cannot use right shift and the keys 1 q a z
I can use left shift and those keys
I can use right shift and any other key

This is a wireless keyboard.

Any ideas? Plugged in a wired keyboard and it works fine.

Running El Capitan 10.11.5 (beta), but was happening with 10.11.4 GA.

This sounds like a problem with the keyboard itself (especially as the problem didn't occur when using an alternative keyboard). Depending on how the keyboard is fashioned, there might be a short or a cut somewhere on the circuit board between the shift key and that column of keys...

You might test the keyboard out on another computer, to confirm whether the error shows up there as well.

Works fine on another device (paired it to an iPad).

However it seem the fix was to reset and re-pair it to the Mac Mini! After that it works. So in a round about way you fixed my problem as I did a re-pairing to test on another device

Cool! Btw, you might see if there's any material trapped beneath the keys (by turning the keyboard over and shaking it, or blowing air beneath the keys, if possible). A small metallic bit of debris could potentially cause transient problems like this one...
