Has anyone else had any issues with various applications not saving or modifying data between sessions? For example, I go into Finder, change some permissions on a file, yet it doesn't actually change the permissions.

Or I go into a game, play the game, get the high score, but when I return to the game later, the high score is not recorded.

I suspect that it has something to do with file ownership, wo I probably need to do some sort of a "chown" on one or more of the directories, but am not sure the scope of this.

Does anyone know any recommended or suggested chown settings for the various applications?

I'm running v1.1.4 JB.

You could chown, or you could change the permissions using WinSCP.

Open WinSCP, login, and access your Applications folder. Right click the app's folder you want to edit, and change the permissions to 0755 (there a text box near the bottom of the window). Then enter the foley, and change the permissions of all the files to 0755.

That should do it.

Either that's your problem, or the application isn't compatible with 1.1.4, and its trying to save to a folder that doesnt exist.
