Issue with swiping left to reach next page in Books on iPadOS 16.4

Anybody else seeing this?

At least when using the Palatino font (the only one I can read for any length of time without eye strain) and dark mode (ditto), when swiping left to advance from page <n> to page <n> + 1, Books instead displays page <n> + 2. I can only access the “missing” page by swiping right from page <n> + 2.This happens on every book I’ve tried so far in my Library. Pretty annoying, ranging to maddening.

Try toggling the page settings to shock it back to normal.

Thanks. Curl works OK, but toggling back to slide shows no improvement. Guess it’s curl until Apple figures out how to fix this. (fwiw, I’ve also tried quitting Books and reopening, as well as The IT Crowd method.)

FWIW, both slide and curl work for me.
