First, let me say I am very new to the Mac. With that said, I downloaded drivers for my printer today and it downloaded fine and was in the download "stacks." When I went to move it to the desktop it just disappeared and I have no clue why. Any help?? Thanks in advance!!

did you just move it out of stack to desktop or did stack go too

The other way of doing this is to plug in your printer and let your Mac find the drivers on it's own. Install should be automated.

I think stacks went today, I don't see it there. How would I get that back??

Thanks for your time!

go to hard drive icon open go to users should find downloads folder in there open your file should be inside pull out and open/run. can put download folder back by dragging it back and dropping back in place where was first in dock when dock expands when pull down to it just let go of mouse button and it replaced.

GGJ gives a better explanation on how to replace than i did

you could always cut out the middle man, go to browsers prefs and set to download to desktop then run prog. drop in trash after or open new folder in hd folder named e.g." downloaded" to save them to
