They're so ugly!

I wish Apple included a way in which we could customize the icons so that they could be the logo of the site instead of some tiny blurry white representation.

Is there already a way to do this or must we wait for another update?

Well, if you zoom in on the site's logo, that will become the icon.

It saves the position that you zoom to so you'd have to zoom back out when loading the page again.

There must be a way of doing it - as another thread points out, google mobile (http://www.google.com/m) uses the Google logo as an icon

zooming in only works if you actually can zoom into the page to begin with. Most people are going to be saving webapps to their homescreen like facebook or games, sites that you can't zoom to and thus end up with a blurry white icon.
