Did or does anyone have any issues with the Thursday Night Football games on Prime Video? Both this week (yesterday) and last week, while watching the game on my ATV 4K 2nd Gen over WiFi (I get over 300Mbps down on WiFi), the game would play fine, then all of a sudden the picture would then freeze and then jump/skip frame by frame for 5-6 frames before going back to smooth playing. It would do this every 3, 4 or 5 minutes. The entire game. Same exact thing happened last week.

This does not happen on any other app nor does it happen on other Prime Video shows - I tested a prior episode of Rings of Power and had no issues.

I have no idea what is causing this. I rebooted the ATV and my Sony Bravia TV. I have not deleted and reinstalled the Prime Video app but given that the only show this happens to is TNF, I don't know what good it will do.

It is interesting to note that this did not happen during the game on my other ATV 4K that is connected via Ethernet. Both the WiFi and Ethernet get the same download speeds. And as I said, it does not happen during any other show, movie or game. For example, Apple+ baseball games show perfectly.

So if anyone has seen this or has any ideas on how to fix it, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

I've had the same issue with an ATV 4K 1st gen and 2nd gen both connected via gigabit ethernet. Changing the video output to 1080p "fixed" the issue. I kept "Match Frame Rate and Range" on. I have not other issues watching watching 4K content including Apple's 4K live baseball feed. I'm guessing it's something related to Amazon's terrible video player in their lackluster app.

Amazon's Thursday Night Football is in 1080p. It is not 4K. They say next year it will be though.

For what it is worth, I did not have any trouble with the Prime app while watching the game Thursday night.

Apple TV 4K gen 2. It doesn't matter what device you use. Amazon isn't doing NFL games in 4K this year on any device.
I understand that, but I'm curious if the stuttering is because older hardware struggles with the feed/app. My device is an Apple TV 4K 1st Gen.

We were watching on an iPad mini through 1 gigabit fiber. A few times it froze up and we got the spinning circle. I’m guessing it has to do with bottlenecks elsewhere in the network chain.
