Hey, just wondering if any other AWS3 owners have been having consitent issues with regards to when using it on cellular for exercising. It was on 6.1.1 and last night, updated it to 6.1.2. Will see how the next run is with that, but if I'm honest, I don't hold up any hopes because nothing was reported of fixing any such issues.

The issues I've encountered:

1. When listening to podcasts while running, they randomly stop, and won't start up again unless I try playing multiple times. Usually I get the message 'podcast not available' - even though I was previously listening to it.
2. When tracking my run with Strava - it would just randomly stop OR on the finished route map, would just show a straight line half way into my run to my finish point. (I'm aware this could be an issue with the strava app instead but I do keep it up-to date)
3. The watch randomly switches off. Last night, the watch switched off twice in a 50min run. It still had 35% battery left.

I'm now looking to upgrade to a series 5 as I't's become so unreliable. A shame because as usual, keeping the software up-to date has caused the device to be unstable for such activities. I'm surprised apple still want to keep this on the market.

Not sure abo t the other two but the first one sounds like the podcast is streaming (not downloaded) and you’ve lost LTE coverage or are in a low coverage area and the podcast can’t download any further. I have that issue when I run in the park sometimes. I just skip to the next podcast and pick up the stalled one the next time I run. It usually downloads to my watch at some point before I run.

If you haven’t yet, get in the habit of rebooting the watch when it starts misbehaving. It’s an easy remedy for Watch OS bugs as well as app bugs. I find myself doing this every other week for my iPhone and maybe once a month with the watch.

Good call on rebooting. I have a reminder in my calendar to reboot my watch every week. I had a lot of issues with my series 2 a few years ago and doing a weekly reboot fixed most of them. They were all due to crashes or unreliable behavior while running.
