I took the plunge and purchased a iPhone XR I liked it besides it freezing on me and continually giving me dropped calls.
I exchanged it for another one and even got a new SIM card the problem is still here. I have apple involved and Verizon and nobody seems to be able to figure out.
The phone at times seems peppy then laggy. I have tried to do conference calls on my phone sometimes it works then sometimes it doesn’t. I will try to merge the calls then I get a call failed and it hangs up on both calls.
I am getting to the point of being extremely annoyed not knowing if I should have just gotten the XS Max. Would the max give me the same antenna issues or is it software related? I am so frustrated I spent nearly $1,000 for this phone and it’s already not giving me a first good impression. I have also done a hard reset plenty of times. I read and heard from Verizon that the XR has has the most technical issues with antenna?

What is everyone’s thoughts has anyone experienced similar issues? Do you think me going to the XS Max will solve these problems or is it just a Verizon network and iOS issue?
So torn what to do. I do like the XS max just not liking the price.

Welp, that’s obviously not everyone’s experience and it’s not an XS vs. XR issue.

Did you set each phone up as new or import everything over from previous phone/backup?

I setup as my old phone was did the scan thing next to each other.

So you don’t believe going to the XS Max will solve these issues?

I’m saying it’s not an iPhone XR problem.

I recommend restarting the XR and setting it up as new instead (not transferring over old phone info & settings). See if the issues persist then.

Sounds like a service issue not a phone issue. When you say lagging and freezing do you mean the phone itself as in on the home screen and running apps or do you mean data and internet? There's no way your having issues like that on 2 separate phones that would be hardware related. The iPhone XR runs very smooth. Sounds like a Verizon issue

This sounds software or service related to me. I am on Verizon and the Xr has better reception performance for me and I haven’t seen the hint of a lag. I have actually read a lot of post on other forum about the Xs Max having issues with Verizon and that was one reason I didn’t go with the max.

Do as others have suggested and restore and do not restore the back something maybe corrupted. Once you restore it do not install any apps test it for a day in it’s default configuration to see if that solves the issue. Then start adding apps back that you need slow so if there is an app issue cause this you can catch it.
