So this is an annoying one. I've been trying to pair my iPhone 3GS with MBP i7 but after an hour and a half on the phone to Apple Technical support and another hour in the Apple Store it seems that the new 10.6.8 is incompatible and unable to pair the two items for networking.

I can pair my 3GS with my MBW fine and use my personal hotspot to access the web but when I try to do it with my MBP it fails every time. At the Apple store we tried it with an iPhone4 with my MBP, then my 3GS on a store MBP but both failed. We then booted my MBP from an older OS and it worked straight away.

Anyone know how to get round this bug or are we going to have to wait for Apple to fix it in their own time?

Pete
