Issues with sending sms from Mac/iPad Pro

Recently (maybe since the latest update) I can no longer send sms text messages from either my Macbook Pro or iPad Pro. Message frowning is enabled on my iPhone for both devices and all are signed in.
Switching imessage on and off or restarting his in impact.

Anybody else having issues with imessage lately?

I had this issue a few months ago on a computer, but it was still working on another one.
I signed off iMessage and deactivated the computer from the iMessage menu in the iPhone, and tried to sign in again. Then I was unable to sign in as the phone would send a code to the computer for confirmation, but iMessage would not show that code. Found no solution, and tried again later. Then it worked, and I have been able to use it again since then...
So, this seems a bit mysterious, there must be some weird problems somewhere.
But, maybe you should try the above (de-activate, re-activate from the iPhone).
