Hey. I recently picked up a series 3 Apple Watch Nike Edition. However I am having issues with the Nike Run Club app. When I go for a run with the watch only (GPS) it seems that there are no sounds in the app. That is there is no countdown sound, and there is no voiceover telling me how far I have run etc. Just silent.

I have AirPods connected to my watch when I run. I confirm they are connected by running the workout app and I can indeed hear the countdown sounds for that. Just nothing on the Nike Run Club app. I have checked the settings on the Watch app and the voiceover is enabled. Oddly if I do a guided run, I do get the sound of the coach talking me through the run. No other sounds though. I have tried powering the watch on and off. I have also removed the app and installed it again.

Has anyone else had this issue? Pretty frustrating having a stock app on the watch face that doesn't play any sounds when running.

In the NRC App on your phone, make sure that Audio Feedback is on (from the main screen, click on the little settings wheel to the left of the Start button.) If that is set to off, your watch will not play any feedback.

It’s already turned on. Can’t hear anything though. Do you get audio feedback on the watch then?

Having exactly the same problem.
Audio feedback should come through the watch or connected headphones but isn’t. Works on he phone but not he watch.
I am on the beta 4.1 and 11.1 so am guessing it’s to do with hat.

Yes, I do. Seeing th next reply. I don't run any beta software, but I am on the regular version of apple watch 4.

I'm using non-beta software and have the same issue.

I know this doesn't help you solve the problem at all... but just wanted to say that the NRC app on Apple Watch is extremely finicky. I'll have no problems with it for a few weeks, then it'll start acting up for a few weeks, and then return to normal. It's unpredictable and very frustrating. Hope voiceover starts working for you!

Hi guys,

I fixed this same issue by deleting the app from my watch and re-installing it from the App Store. It took a while, but so far Coach Bennett's voice is no longer almost-silent when I run.

Cheers!

I fixed it the way I turned on AppleWatch general voiceover and turned it off. Settings > Accessibility > Voiceover > Turn On > Turn Off. Open NRC Start Run and now it works :)
