Hi,

I have had my macbook 1 day and now i stat pro is reporting my battery has 98% health. Any ideas?

Just reset the SMC in accordance with Apple's support page. Reading a battery's capacity isn't very precise.

It has always shown it as 99% health on mine (from day 1). Other software shows it as 100% health.
