I just bought a 13" MBP for my son (as a graduation gift) and I installed iStat; the CPU usage in the menu bar reflects 4 cores. I know it is a dual core processor but wondering if anyone has any insights.

BTW, I did email iSlayer to let them know.

Its a dual core processor that has four threads so you'll see four different proc in Istat.

i5 is 2 cores and has 4 threads so the computer looks at it as 4 cores.
2 physical and 2 virtual cores.
