iStat widget wont how temp or fan speed?!

hi!
my new macbook Pro 17" c2d wont show temp and fan speed when i use the iStat or iStat Nano widget, howcome? got any ideas on how i can fix this issue?

make sure you have a temperature-sensing program installed, such as CoreDuo Temp. i can't help you with the fans because i don't monitor mine and i don't know what program you'd need.
