Great, thats good to know I'm looking for a 12 Pro for my wife but the Apple store doesnt have any sim free versions but they do have some Verizon ones so I'll just do that.

Man, I looked at the Pro (unlocked) on Apple's website and it would be Mid December delivery at the earliest, with none in stock at any of the 5 Apple stores here in my metro area. Crazy that if we get a carrier version, it is a different story!
