i'm looking for aid in how to setup a linux redhat dedicated server to run as a .mac isync server.

what needs to be on the linux box, setup. and then any changes to the home machine to connect to it instead of .mac for sync and some of it's other features.

isync .mac on linux

I've started a similar project and would welcome any suggestions. I'm working with Mandriva 2006 instead of RedHat.

I have succeeded in replacing the .Mac email functionality with an IMAP server and WebMail.

The calendar functionality is easy to duplicate with phpiCalendar.

The Address Book seems to be among the most feature rich PHP address book I could find, but I'm finding lots of browser problems (doesn't work with Safari or IE6).

With the exception of IMAP, none of the above is nearly as simple as iSync, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay for another year of .Mac.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
